what ollie loves...

this kid loves "cahs" (cars), "rucks" (trucks) and anything with wheels is a "vroom vroom".  we spend a lot of time each day just looking out our third floor windows at all the cars driving on the busy street we live on.  he loves it!

we put ollie in the big car seat box and threw in a large amount of his toys.  he loved it!

ollie loves woodworking at his tool bench, but he is deathly afraid of the sound the table saw makes

adventure: lake chabot

For our Christmas present my in-laws got us a East Bay Regional Parks pass!  Awesome!  We have been using it every chance we get to check out the parks in the area.  This is our first time at Lake Chabot, and although there were way too many people (just like Del Valle), it was lovely and beautiful, and we can't wait to come back for some fishing!
As you can tell Ollie was having fun laughing at his dad sticking his tongue out!

inspiration: vintage love

i love me some vintage.  but why is it that all the "vintage" stuff i buy at thrift stores always smells vintage, if you know what i mean.  nasty.
stole these pics from bleubird vintage.

i love my boy

oliver loves sticking his tongue out.  my cute little moose.

i have never seen a baby love hugging stuffed animals as much as this kiddo.  he says "ugs" as he does it because he can't pronounce his h's yet!

what's been going on...

we bought ollie a new forward facing car seat, which he loves.  but i think he loves the box it came in even more!

my mom threw our friend suzanne a baby shower.  she is having twin boys.  how do you pity someone while still being very excited for them!  twins would be rough!

you know it is time for my husband to cut his hair when he can do a nasty ponytail like greg kinnear's character in anchorman 2.  sick.

ollie and papa

ollie's best friend is his papa.  whenever we are around papa, ollie wants nothing to do with me or jason or grandma, he just wants to play cars with papa.  and ollie is struggling this week because papa is in hawaii and not here to "fly" him around in his overalls.  ollie keeps fake phone calling papa and wants us to show him papa's pictures around the house.  he misses his friend. poor little dude.

family: i love my boy!

this is an old picture of my dad and ollie.  ollie used to LOVE sitting like this on his papa's stomach, but only with papa.  he would calm down every time.  my cute little boy.

family: Christmas day

We had a great Christmas!  Ollie had two absolute favorite presents: m&m's (as seen in his drool in picture #1) and a big blue car for him and papa.  we even caught him hugging the car on multiple occasions, as if it is a best friend or something.  Our holiday was lovely, filled with deliciously fattening food and family.

family: Christmas shopping in San Francisco

Just before Christmas we did a day trip in San Francisco because I love Christmastime in the city.  We had fun at the farmers market at the Ferry Building, had amazing steamed milk at the Cowgirl Creamery, watched ice skaters at Union Square, adored the decorations at the Hilton, and finished off our Christmas shopping.

if i had a million dollars: art edition

i love art.  it was my major for a few years in college, and my husband graduated in animation.  so we are kind of art nerds and like to paint and draw as much as we can, along with hitting up local art galleries.  here are some of my current art faves.
Andean Landscape
Nocturnal Sea: don't you just want to go night swimming?
Bob Marley Poster:  One of my proudest moments as a mom is when my one year old pointed at a picture of Mr. Marley and sweetly said "Bob."  I've taught him well!

if i had a million dollars: what i would wear today

so our church time has changed to 9 this year.  i got to say that sucks.  i am not a morning person, nor is my son or husband.  lets greet the change with comfortable church clothes like a stretchy dress, flats and a warm sweater.
yellow dress
gold stone earrings
black sweater
