things ollie says...

While leaving the library the other day, Ollie was holding my hand and looked up at me and said:
"I love you mommy.  Thank you let me play computer and twirl."
He can be so sweet sometimes.

Jelly Belly Factory

Right after Christmas we took Oliver to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, CA.  Big mistake to go that week!  We had to wait in line for over 2 hours there were so many dang people!  But it was fun and Ollie is now obsessed with Jelly Belly's so it had a happy ending!

Christmas Day

Ava Rose

Hunter is ticked!

Scripture time before opening presents!

Jake loves wearing Hello Kitty underwear!

Avery's glasses with windshield wipers.  Very useful in stormy weather.

And Cory & Bill's inflatable turkey.  Also very useful.
I am posting this only 3 months late!  : )  As always, Christmas was wonderful, even if it involved me catching the flu.  Luke 2, presents & scones at my parents house.  More presents and goofing off at Jason's parents house.  Followed by the Margaret Harris gag gift exchange with my relatives and incredible food!  Why is Christmas so friggen awesome?

Some old pictures from Christmas!  It seems like every night in December is awesome and busy and crazy, so I can't seem to catch up on all the pictures I want to journal about here!

Weenie Roast

Right before Christmas we had a weenie roast in my parents backyard so my brother's Colorado based family could experience the joys of living in California in December.  For Ollie's nap time we took a little drive through the gorgeous Tesla back roads, and finished off the night acting out the Nativity.

Old Sacramento

Yummy bacon cheddar fries

Ollie got giddy over every single "choo choo train"

Christmas light show
Right before Christmas we took little Oliver to Old Sacramento for a little family time.  He was obsessed with the railroad museum!  Seriously, even now in March he talks about it all the time.  Our little train conductor.  We also did a little shopping and watched a really cool Christmas light show.  Well done Old Sac.  We were impressed.

things ollies says...

Ollie loves helping Papa in the backyard
The other night Ollie started hitting Jason on the back with a toy hammer.
Jamie: "Ollie, stop hitting daddy with the hammer.  That isn't nice."
Oliver: "Can I use the saw on him then?"
He might be a little violent.

And of course it would not be Christmas without a trip to the Oakland Temple to see the beautiful Christmas lights!  Beautiful as always!

Gingerbread Houses

Team Wyatt & Eric

Team Greco

Team Avery & Granny

Team Eden & Teresa

Team Jake & Papa
This year my brother Eric came home for Christmas with his family!  Do you have any idea how exciting that was?  We never get my siblings here for Christmas!  NEVER!  It was awesome to have his family here this year!
And of course we had to have a cutthroat gingerbread house competition.  Some were prettier than others.  Some tasted better than others.  I think Jake won though as he was the one that ate the most candy.

things ollie says...

While playing in the bathtub, Oliver was saying silly things that only two year old boys think are hilarious, like "I'm a poopy face"  and "There's boogers in your ears."  Out of nowhere he made up one that actually made me laugh when he said "Mommy you are a Desitin mouth.  Eww. Disgusting."

march wishlist

i love these earrings.  i could wear them everyday.
i have been wanting a mustard cardigan for awhile but holy crap they are hard to find.  this one is perfect.
i would love this picture up in my house.  a reminder to quit the whining and enjoy the moment, even if it is while watching thomas the train for the 100th time.  good golly that show is boring.
