On my actual birthday, Jason took off work a couple hours early to take me to the movies (Inferno) and a fancy dinner at Simply Fondue. I felt really classy sipping my ensure alongside my birthday mock tail they gave me. Then we finished it off with rhubarb pie and presents at my parents. On Saturday Jason and Oliver took me on a mini hike at the St. Hilary Church in Tiburon, followed by dinner at Vasco's in Mill Valley. Then we happened to run into a store opening downtown, so we got to celebrate more with free mock tails, great live music, and Oliver even made me a flower head wreath. Sucks getting older, but it was a great birthday!

In October Jason did the unthinkable: he woke up one morning and decided to ditch work to go have some fun with his family! Why has he never done this before? We went to beautiful Half Moon Bay to enjoy Lemos Farm, which is crazy on weekends so we have never been there. We counted ghosts on the train ride and shared a big slice of pumpkin pie. At Arata Farms we got lost for a very long time in the hay maze and slipped and slided in the ample mud. Then we topped the day off with lunch at a great Mayan restaurant in town. Dude, Jason needs to ditch work more often!

I love that even though we all live a ways away from each other, we find a way to get together at least a few times a year! In October we all met up at Apple Hill in Placerville and had a great time. Reminders for next year at Apple Hill: don't go on a weekend and eat as much food as humanly possible! It's so dang good! PS: Sorry Kim that your drive sucked so bad over Donner Pass!

Our last camping trip of the season! So sad! As always, we loved Mount Madonna and the beautiful California coastline. Next time we camp we will have baby number two, and no migraines or nausea hopefully!

The other night Oliver started screaming in his sleep so Jason went in to check on him. After Jason calmed him down he asked what had happened. Oliver said that he had a nightmare that he had bad gas and he was terrified because he couldn't stop farting.
The fears of a four year old boy.
