In January our little family joined my parents and my cousin Ben and his wife Kristin and their kids Abram, Aila and Emerson at TrainTown in Sonoma. I can honestly say this was the cutest train ride we have been on with Oliver, and good golly we have done a lot of train rides with that boy. It was great seeing family, watching the kids enjoy the rides and walking around Sonoma.

Oh my gosh, he was geeking out about all the cars! And thought it was so cool they had a Mustang just like Papa's old one
This is how I like snow: play in it for an hour and leave! Perfect, and beautiful!
In January we drove over to Reno to visit my good friends Kimmie & Michelle and take Oliver to the snow. He has been fantasizing about snow ball fights, sledding, snowmen and snow angels. It was so much fun and way too short of a trip!

This is how it is. I am the chauffeur and Oliver the ladies man just holds hands with both Liesl and Sariah.

Oh Sariah and John, how we have missed you! Our prodigal friends came home for Christmas and it was so good to do our old game night, dinner and adventure just like old times! We went Santa Cruz for a redwood and ocean fix, and San Jose for their crazy Christmas village. Move home, please!

Cutting down the Christmas tree every year is one of my favorite Christmas traditions! This past year we went with my parents to Crest Ranch in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Oliver insisted on pulling the tree cart
I think Oliver liked his lunch
Nothing better than cutting down a tree, then spending the day eating seafood at the ocean. Why is California so great?
Potty break on the way home. Haha, I love potty training!

I really want a height measuring board for little Oliver, and this is the coolest one I have yet to see.
I also want to start eating every meal with cloth napkins. These ones are cute and cheap.
Oh how I have wanted a white dress to roam around in. I love both this knee length one, and the long one.
Cars, trucks and tractors: Oliver will love these sheets for a twin bed someday (hint hint Papa!)
I am obsessed with these crates. In a perfect world we would have no tacky plastic, bright storage containers, and all of Oliver's toys would be organized neatly into these charming boxes. Someday.
