Good Friends

Oliver and Colton started hanging out weekly back in September, and have been besties ever since.  Ollie even had his first sleepover with him and his brother which was quite successful, other than the 5 a.m. wake up time.

Things Ollie Says...

Nudie Art
I was looking at a new toy Oliver got for Easter, and said "This toy was made in Vietnam."
Oliver looked at me, and replied "Well I was made in Berkeley."

March: Port Chicago

We visited the Port Chicago National Historic Park awhile back, and holy cow it was depressing, yet interesting.  I didn't even know about the ammunition explosion from WWII that killed so many African American soldiers.  Oliver loved climbing into the old ammunition railroad cars.  I highly recommend the tour.

Things Ollie Says...

Fancy Picnic
A week ago I overheard Oliver squealing "Help! It's a butt monsoon!  My butts on fire! Help me!  Help me!" and then he finished by making siren noises "Nee nu, Nee nu, Nee nu." It must have been the curry.

If I Had A Million Dollars...

Chilling at home today with my little dude sounds great...
Black skinnies. I will always love this style.
Great top.
Leather shoes. These look so comfortable.
Plant markers. Not that I have a garden, but a girl can dream.
Cloth napkins, because I like fancy.
New dish towels. My old one are horrendous.
Sling shot.  Oliver has to have fun today too.
Sage stick.  I've always wanted to burn the sage stick/repel evil spirits in my home.  Don't ask me why, it's the hippie in me.

March: Eugene O'Neills Tao House

playing on the train

In early March, Oliver and I went with our friend Kristine to Danville to tour the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site.  It was actually really interesting.  The house was as strange as the playwright, and the grounds were SO beautiful!  Think bright green hills, cows, wildflowers, etc!  I could get used to having a yard like that!

January: Pismo Beach

Morro Bay

The view from our hotel room. It was a rough trip.

A friend of mine had a gift certificate to the very fancy Cliffs hotel in Pismo Beach.  It was about to expire and she couldn't take off work, so we inherited it!  Thank you Michelle!  Holy cow, this was a great little trip!  The weather and the beach were gorgeous!  We swam, ate incredible food, and relaxed.  It was perfect!

Things Ollie Says...

Ollie as a box troll

I don't do well in rainy weather.  I made my boys finger paint a mural with me.

Sleeping at Granny & Papa's

Ollie: "Can we buy a home if I get a job? I can apply for a job on the TV and work on my kids computer toy!"  He so badly wants a house with a yard.  So willing to help.

Oliver sneezed, then in a mocking voice said "I've got allergies in my shnozzles!"  I love it when he makes fun of Jason!

I told Oliver that his cousin Jayden is coming to visit in a few months.
Oliver replied "Jayden?  Well Jayden is kind of a wild situation."

March: Happy St. Patrick's Day

The one thing we really like about Dublin, Ca, the town we live in, is that they know how to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  This was our third year here, going to the St. Patrick's Day parade, and holy cow it was cold.  We didn't even go to the festival afterwards because it was raining and freezing.  The past two years we were sunbathing in short sleeve tops at the parade. What gives El Nino?

April Wishlist

i am over the duvet we got for our wedding.  this one is affordable, and actually attractive, and that is rare!
cool cutting board.  my husband could probably make one like this, hint hint*
i want these cool shoes made for ballroom dance. that means they would be comfortable right?
i hate my hot pads, like a lot.  this stripe one is much more attractive, along with this cool old fashioned blue one
i want these reclaimed wood placemats SO much
yep, definitely need more attractive dish towels too
the only table cloth i have that fits our big table has stains all over it.  this one is nice and basic for any occasion.
love this crate for holding everything: olive oils, toys, spices, towels, etc.
i saw native american braid wraps like these in a small shop in folsom about a decade ago, and have been thinking about them ever since
