Things Ollie Says...

This is unfortunately his new "picture" smile.  We might not be taking as many pictures of him for awhile.

"Retired Papa is way funnier than sad work Papa!"

"I'm going to call my wife whiney hiney!"

When someone asks him to do something, he often replies "Yes your majesty" or "Yes your highness" or "Yes dear", all to be sarcastic

July: Mickelsen's Visit

Donut Wheel with Annika and Kaleb

Canton Village with Papa, Jozie and Oliver
In July, Annika and Kaleb came to visit for a week, followed by the rest of the Mickelsen family the week after.  Oliver was in heaven.  I was pretty excited too!  We spent the day at Mount Madonna with them, had a lot of good food and backyard dinners, many walks to the park, and a stroll through Sycamore Grove.  Oliver and Jozie became good friends quick and loved playing chase and having silly conversations.  Most of Oliver's stuffed animals now carry the middle and last name Mae Mickelsen in honor of her.

Happy Fourth of July!

We started out the holiday with our Ward Breakfast and bike parade with Granny and Papa, had a great BBQ, and finished with fireworks in Dublin which were actually really awesome!

My beloved Salt Lake City temple

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."-Matthew 11:28

No I did not take this picture, I just found it on facebook and wanted to save it for my own personal journal, aka this blog!

If I Had A Million Dollars

Clutch: I need to enjoy carrying around a small purse up until the baby is born and I have to lug around a huge diaper bag again. Dang.
Ring & Earrings:  To make me feel a little more fancy and a little less frumpy.
Wrap Dress: Maternity clothes are a waste.  This will cover the baby all nine months.
Pine Incense Burner: To cover up awful food smells.  Uggh.
Flats:  Haha, I ain't wearing heels much these days.

Little Ollie

flexing his muscles
trying on hats with his Ewok

celebrating Papa's retirement with a present from Oliver's aliens "Jerry" & "Barry"
No one is more excited for this baby than Oliver.  Almost daily he looks at me all serious like and says, "I'm going to love your baby so much."  He insists that the baby be named Honey after the baby bear in the Berenstain Bear's books, and has already claimed dibs on feeding the baby bottles and bringing clean diapers to me, but he claims he refuses to help with dirty diapers.

June: Grandma & Grandpa Noakes Visit

Four Generations

Hunter Oliver and Lily

Back in June Grandma & Grandpa Noakes, Jason's maternal grandparents, visited from Centerville, Utah.  Unfortunately I was too sick to see them, but Jason & Oliver got to spend  the Sabbath with them and Jason's family.  What a blessing to still have a set of grandparents alive to meet our kiddos.

June: Alameda County Fair

Back in June we took Oliver to the Alameda County Fair, which he loved! He cheered for the motocross show and pig races, stared at the elderly Square Dancers, discovered cotton candy, and boogied and sang to the Beatles Tribute Band.  It was a great night!

Sorry for the silence...

Insane nausea and chronic migraines have kept me off the computer and away from doing a lot of fun stuff with my family since late May but it's all for a good reason!  The long prayed for Baby Number Two will be joining our family in January!  Expect less posts until maybe March :)
